Using the GoFish Cam is a step up in the angling experience.

The cam hooked on my line seamlessly and I found that the size, weight, and buoyancy of the cam afforded minimal weight change when in the water. I would absolutely use GoFish Cam for any fishing excursion. Can't wait to take it in the ocean!!! I expected to have a ton of tangles casting it and that I would only be able to troll it, that is not the case, cast after cast after cast and no tangles.

The battery life is great, the night vision is so bright, and footage comes in clear. I fish the Saskatchewan river where you can't see a foot below the surface and yet my videos come in nice and clear - Andy W. Use the GoFish Cam to record the action to share to social media Use the GoFish Cam to record the action and review the video to see whats happening to your lure/bait, how fish are reacting to it, what the structure looks like, where fish are hiding in the structure to verify and justify any changes to make in their fishing game to adapt to the situation.

They also use the GoFish Cam video to add to what theyre reading on their depth or fish finders. Use the GoFish Cam and the free float accessory provided to cast out the cam and live-stream a top down view to be able to see in real time what the structure looks like, types of fish, etc. The camera is applicable for four different fishing styles; Trolling, Casting, Float, and Bottom Fishing -Trolling is the most popular style the GoFish Cam is used for. In this style of fishing there exists the most tension, as there is always a drag. The drag keeps the camera extremely steady and will allow exceptional quality footage.

Casting is another popular style the GoFish Cam is used for. In this style of fishing there may be some shaky footage however as long as youre reeling the camera will be kept steady. Heavier lures for casting work better than lighter ones. For casting, we recommend using a heavier line, and side-casting to not have the line break during your casts. The GoFish Cam can also be used for bottom fishing.

In this style of fishing, make sure the weight is attached prior to the cameras connection to the line. This way the camera will be facing the hook and not the weight or make sure the camera is above the bait on the line if you're attaching the weight at the very end. For float fishing, the GoFish Cam comes with a free accessory that turns your GoFish Cam into a float/bobber. HOW DO I ATTACH THE GOFISH CAM TO MY LINE?

-The GoFish Cam is very easy to attach to a fishing line. There are two ends to the camera.

The back end will be attached to the casting line and the front end to your leader line. You can either tie the lines straight to the camera or tie your line to a snap/swivel and use the snap to connect to the camera.

WHAT KIND OF FISHING LINE SHOULD I USE? -We recommend using a heavy braided test line and a less heavy monofilament leader line. When using the camera for cast & retrieve, we recommend using higher than 30lbs test line and also recommend side casting versus over head casting. HOW LONG SHOULD THE LEADER LINE BE?

-It depends on the type of fishing you are doing, on the lighting, and the clarity of water. The leader line should be between 2-6 feet long. HOW DO YOU STOP THE CAMERA FROM SPINNING? -The camera is built with stabilization fins. The fins works best when there is tension or drag from both ends of the camera.

As long as youre trolling, reeling in, or battling a fish youll find there is no spinning. The more action, the more stable! HOW DOES THE WIFI WORK? -The GoFish Cam emits its own WiFi signal.

This allows you to review all the footage on your GoFish Cam via our app on your mobile device. The Wifi will disconnect while underwater. If you're cast and retrieving it will auto connect every time you reel in.

If you're keeping the camera underwater longer, it will stop "searching" after 5 minutes. To reconnect then, you'd have to open the camera and press the WiFi button again. HOW FAR DOES THE WIFI GO?

-The WiFi has been tested to 75Ft while out of water. Current technology for WiFi does not allow it to go under water as the water disrupts the signal. We are working closely with researchers and different studies to make sure that when WiFi has under water capabilities, the GoFish Cam will too!

-Every user gets a free accessory with their GoFish Cam that turns the camera into a float/bobber. When using this accessory properly, you'll be able to live-stream a bird's eye view. WHAT DO I DO IF MY LINE SNAPS AND THE CAMERA FALLS OFF? -We want to make sure you have the best experience while fishing! Keep to these suggestions and you should be in the clear: -GoFish Cam is connected between your casting line and your leader line.

Generally, if your line breaks it tends to take place near the lure, in which case your camera would still be attached to the casting line. To help increase the rate of a line snap happening on the leader end instead of the casting end, we recommend using a heavy braid casting line and a weaker leader line. With this suggestion, your success rate to retrieving your camera is higher.

Double check that youve tied the right knots before casting out your line. HOW DEEP CAN GOFISH CAM GO? -150 meters DOES THE CAMERA RECORD SOUND?

The GoFish Cam has a built in microphone to make sure that the entire experience is captured underwater. The housing is very heavy to give the GoFish Cam its needed durability and depth. The sound is not great quality, but it's there. CAN I RECORD IN THE DARK? GoFish Cam has been designed with a green light emitting diode (LED) ring around the camera lens to capture your image in the darkest of water and for night fishing. HOW HEAVY IS THE CAMERA?

GoFish Cam has developed a mobile application to work with your Smartphone. It works alongside the camera wirelessly. We encourage users to view, edit, log data, and share footage.

WHERE CAN I SHARE MY VIDEOS? -GoFish Cams mobile application will allow users to share videos through most major social media channels Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube.

If you notice were missing one, let us know and well do our best to accommodate! CAN I CONNECT THE CAMERA TO THE APP EVEN WHEN I HAVE NO WIFI? Prior to using the GoFish Cam, you will want to register it to your profile on the mobile application. Once registered, even if you have no network or wifi connection, you can still connect to the GoFish Cam.

When out on the water, or in an area with no service, turn on the GoFish Cam, turn on WiFi. On your mobile device, go to WiFi settings, find the GoFish Cam WiFi and connect.

Now, when you open the app, it will not log you in and bring you to the community page as usual. Instead, since there's no network connection, a pop up will occur that will tell you there's no network connection and allow you to still connect to one of your registered GoFish Cams.
